ABOUT ME

  • Born in Buenos Aires, I had a great interest in images from a very young age.​ That visual interest led me to work first at Channel 9 in Buenos Aires as an outside broadcast technician, and then to study Cinematography at the Sindicato de la Industria Cinematografía Argentina, SICA, with Rodolfo Denevi, a well-known director of photography and teacher, doing my first practices on 35mm film with an Arriflex II C.

  • After leaving Channel 9, I bought my first Betacam SP camera and started working in 1998 as a freelance lighting cameraman, working on all types of productions.

  • After that I continued completing my training with courses such as the HD/Digital Cinema workshop of Martín Siccardi ADF (where I later collaborated as an assistant), and in the second stage of the Centro de Formación Profesional SICA , with courses such as colorimetry with Salvador Melita ADF and photography direction and camera operation with Fabio Bastias. I also attended cinematography seminars with Cesar Charlone ABC and Dean Cundey ASC in Buenos Aires.

  • But the most important milestone in my career was graduating from ENERC (Escuela Nacional de Experimentación y Realización Cinematografía, the national film school in Argentina) as Director of Photography. That generated the concrete opportunity to start working on feature films.

  • Since then I have worked as a director of photography and/or camera operator in feature films, short films, commercials and documentaries, having developed a great passion for camera operation, especially handheld.

  • That passion led me to take Steadicam, underwater camera and aerial cinematography with drones workshops. Disciplines that I have been able to perfect and put into practice in numerous film features,  TV series, commercials and documentaries. Lately I have found myself dedicated to mastering the Arri Trinity and the operation of wheels as part of obtaining a wide range of possibilities when approaching the job of a camera operator.

  • I have operated from 16/Super16 and Super35 film cameras to the latest digital cinema cameras, including the first HD/Digital Cinema cameras such as the HDW-F900.

  • Many of the projects where I worked have been selected and many have won awards at different national and international festivals.

My mission is to commit to finding that framing, that lighting, that angle, that camera movement that the story needs and that the director trusts me to achieve. I always put 100% of my experience, my vision, my energy and the technical resources at my disposal to achieve that goal.
